CALLING all former Whitchurch cricket players ? a big reunion is being held at the village cricket club this weekend and the organisers hope as many ex-players as possible will be able to come along.

The reunion takes place on Bank Holiday Sunday and will include a match between past and present players and a barbecue.

Organiser Dean Elliott said: ?We?re hoping the oldest living ex-Whitchurch players will be able to come along ? I know of one guy in his eighties who?s coming but it would be nice to see as many people as possible there.

?The club used to play on Whitchurch Down in the 1940s, before they moved down here, so if any of those players could come it would be good.?
