A REUNION dinner and a Christmas buffet brought to an end a busy year for members of the South West Group of the National Service (Royal Air Force) Association. At the former, James Rew — one of the group's founders — was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his work.

During 2011 members enjoyed a series of lectures and social events that included a River Dart trip, a tour of facilities at MOD Boscombe Down, a visit to the RAF's search and rescue helicopter flight at RMB Chivenor and participation in parades at the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas and at the Cenotaph in London.
