THE MAYOR?S chain will be back to all its resplendent glory after the valuable gold pendant which had gone missing was found last week. In last week?s Times, Okehampton Town Council appealed for information after the pendant had been lost. By Thursday lunchtime, town clerk Don Bent had received a phone call from a member of the public who lives at South Zeal. The caller had found the pendant in Crediton Road, Okehampton, and was happy to reunite it with the rest of the mayoral chains. Mr Bent said: ?We are delighted the pendant has been found and returned. It was slightly damaged, so we have sent it away to be repaired.?
