A NEW look play park for a residential area in Tavistock is on the cards — but first of all, local people need to make their views known on what they would like to see there.
Bishopsmead Play Park Project, which has already held several fundraising events for the park enhancement, has brought together several designs for the park. Now the group needs input from residents in the area, so they can approach organisations for funding.
The project's Tina Hurford said an open day has been organised for this Saturday, March 2, at Whitchurch School Hall.
Tina said: 'People can come along any time between 2pm and 4pm and view and vote for the design they would prefer to see.
'We have four designs, ranging from quite basic to quite elaborate. We're basically looking at a toddler area, something for the older children and some seating.'
Tina said the project has designed an anonymous voting system — she hoped as many people as possible would come along to the hall to make their views known.
