Bere Alston Reserves 1
Pensilva 0
BERE?S first outing in three weeks was a hard fought game played in good conditions.
An uneventful first half came and went with no notable chances being created.
The second half saw Bere come out a different team, with the in-form defence creating chances from the back.
An attempted through ball by midfielder Mckinnon saw the Pensilva goalkeeper mistime the bounce but he recovered just as the ball approached the goal-line.
Two quick changes to Bere?s formation saw substitutes Kesman and Robertson make an immediate impact, with the latter scoring a sweet left-foot volley from just inside the area within 30 seconds of being on the pitch.
Bere dominated the remaining minutes and held on for a hard fought victory. but they will have to improve on this performance if they want to get a result this Saturday against bitter rivals Looe.

North Hill 0
Bere Alston United 2
BERE got through to the next round in a very poor game.
Bere did their usual trick of missing easy chances and trying to shoot themselves in the foot.
A bumpy pitch made things hard as the ball bounced everywhere. North Hill keeper was at fault for the first goal as a bad bounce left him floundering for Lee Underwood to score.
The second half was the same, as North Hill battled to keep in the game.
Now Bere tried to commit suicide as poor back passes left Craig Howells to show his mettle with two great one-on-one saves. The game was secured when Steve Daymond scored from two yards to give the keeper no chance.
On Saturday, home to St Dennis, 2.30pm kick-off.
