THIS football game was billed as six pointer between both sides in the top two in the league.

Argyle scored straight from the kick-off; a long ball from an Aaron Ditchburn free kick sailed over the Countess Wear defence but with the goalkeeper rooted to his line it was Darren Prouse who reacted first to poke it home from six yards.

The home side created an opening following some good passing, which found their winger but he hit his shot way over the bar. Argyle's Chris Dearing in goal and a back four of Mark Hampson, Ditchburn and Tom Williams and Graham never looked troubled for the rest of the first half.

In the second half Yip and Wooldridge down the wings and Prouse and Sanders maintained Argyle's dominance and it was Prouse who toe punted in the second. Sanders and Prouse tested the Countess Wear keeper before Prouse scored his hat-trick with a cool finish after being set up by Williams. The result leaves Argyle five points behind with three games in hand.
