TWO fire crews from Tavistock were called to Lydford last week to rescue a woman from the Gorge.

The firefighters were called to the Gorge at about 2.30pm on Wednesday and managed to rescue the woman, who had injured her ankle. The woman, who was not local, was taken to hospital by ambulance.
