ON Saturday, August 15 at 11am, the Tavistock branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding a short service of remembrance at the town’s war memorial to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of the war with Japan — VJ Day.
In particular, to remember all those who fought, all those who fought and were injured in body or mind and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country in that conflict. Also to remember all those who suffered or died in captivity in the Far East.
All are welcome to attend.
Malcolm Christie
Chairman
