ZEAL could have settled this match in the first 30 minutes but a series of missed chances kept the home side in the game as Harley Cann, Darren Gilbert and Redd Cann all went close to scoring on several occasions.

Sandford made a few changes in the second half and pressurised the Zeal defence, which managed to restrict the home side to shots from outside the penalty area.

Several good saves from Reg Wonnacott in the Zeal goal kept the score at 0-0.

Zeal were dangerous on the break and still creating chances.

With five minutes left a headed flick on from Harley Cann found Darren Gilbert who played Tom Reilly through — he finished well, sliding the ball past the keeper and in off the right hand post to give Zeal a much needed three points.
