I WAS pleased to see the article about the possible introduction of BT Broadband but was disappointed to see that little interest has been shown in the Tavistock area.

Broadband is an Internet service which gives high-speed access to all Internet services.

For businesses this can give a considerable saving in IT costs and for individuals it will give a far quicker and better access to the Internet.

In order for this service to be introduced to the Tavistock exchange, and this includes all the outlying areas which used to come under their old village exchanges, there is a requirement for at least 350 people to show an

interest.

Could I therefore encourage all those who use the Internet whether for business or for their own use to register an interest? It is very simple.

All that you need to do is to log on to http://www.bt.com/bt">www.bt.com/bt broadband/register. By registering you do not commit yourself to anything other than to show an interest.

There are only seven exchanges with Broadband enabled in Devon and these are in the main urban areas. Please take a moment to register so that Tavistock can lead the way.
