THREE young girls are getting prepared for carnival festivities after being crowned Bere Alston Carnival Queen and attendants.

Appointed for regal duties and heading this year's carnival procession on May 4, will be Anya Turner, accompanied by attendants Tabitha Whitaker and Holly Whitting, all from Bere Alston Primary School.
