TAVISTOCK artist Gemma Lofthouse brought her print and textile skills to Milton Abbot School for an art appreciation session with children from Reception and Year 1.

The children are currently learning about seasonal changes in autumn. In the style of Gemma's work, the children were able to work with her to create autumn leaf printing linked to their topic in a design and technoly textiles session.

Gemma explained how the printing process works by showing the children photographs, patterned material and her own projects.

Gemma spent the afternoon working with groups of children to create their own textile print using autumn colours.
