THE work to refurbish Simmons Park in Okehampton continues apace and is nearing completion so thoughts are now turning to the rededication day to be held on Saturday July 20.
Wren are organising the day on behalf of the town council and would be delighted to hear from anyone who might like to run activities or stalls at the 'Grand Fete'.
Okehampton Lions Club have kindly offered to make their facilities available to other groups so we are looking for people/groups to run stalls such as 'Splat the Rat', 'Hoopla' and the 'Electric Maze'. Or indeed any other ideas you might have.
There is also room for local businesses to be become involved, and all we ask is that every stall includes at least one activity for people to take part in.
Publicity for the event will be out from next week, so please keep your eyes on the Okehampton Times for adverts and flyers for the full information, or alternatively give us a ring at Wren.
