FIFTY years of Sourton Parish Hall were celebrated last Friday. Chairman Geraldine Jury welcomed everyone, and a whist drive was held with the help of Ivor Pellow.
The parish of Sourton started raising funds for a new hall through whist drives and barn dances at Sleekers Farm and the church room.
The whist drive was followed by tea and cake. In the evening a barn dance with Walter Shortage and the Hose Pipe Banned was enjoyed.
There were many photographs and a video of Sourton for people to view.
Thanks were given to Mr Pellow, the parish hall committee and all who attended.
