PUPILS and teachers have been busy celebrating thirty years of a West Devon nursery school.

The children of Montessori Nursery School in Whitchurch now have a lasting reminder of the birthday celebrations that they created themselves.

More than 100 current families from the nursery along with old pupils and teachers, visited the school to help celebrate its thirtieth anniversary.

Visitors got the chance to look at the work the children have been doing as well as catch up with old friends and teachers.

At the event, the children currently at the school, created a fingerprint painting which has now been framed and hung in the schoolroom as a lasting reminder of the special day.

Whitchurch Montessori Nursery is currently accepting applications for places for children from September 2011.
