RECORDS are made to be broken and the end of 2007 saw a 'magnificent' record total raised during the Christmas street collection. Okehampton and District Lions Club's Christmas street collection realised a record total of £1,613. The Lions extended their warmest thanks to all the people who kindly contributed, as well as thanking Somerfield and Waitrose supermarkets who allowed them to collect outside their Okehampton stores once again.
