TAVISTOCK Swimming Club visited Okehampton to take part in their home gala along with teams from Honiton and Dawlish. Tavistock led the way at the beginning of the friendly competition, but the lead changed constantly, almost race by race between the four teams, making every event an exciting challenge. Those receiving valuable points by winning first places included Tom Crocker (14/U) and Kirsty Best (open) both in the individual medley, Tom Waddington (14/U) and Kirsty Best (open) both in the freestyle and Sam Campbell-Hingston (12/U) and Ross Williams (open) both in the butterfly. There were also top points for the mixed 11/U medley relay team (Will Carter, Emily Adams, Alexandra Stoecker, Kameron Brimble), the mixed 14/U medley relay team (Catriona Smith, Nathaniel Rookes, Josh Stephens, Kirsty Smith) and the mixed 14/U freestyle relay team (Tom Crocker, Kirsty Smith, Catriona Smith, Chris Mills). Several younger club members swam, gaining valuable experience. Taking part were Alice Adams, Emily Adams, Gavin Ball, Beth Benyon, Abigail Best, Kirsty Best, Michael Best, Holly Brimble, Kameron Brimble, Jason Butler, Sam Campbell-Hingston, Will Carter, Kris Chapman, Tom Crocker, Harriet Edwards, Matt Edwards, Martyn Greep, Natalie Greep, Ryan Greep, Pete Jarman, Chris Mills, Kieran Rookes, Nathaniel Rookes, Catriona Smith, Kirsty Smith, Issy Stanswood, Josh Stephens, Katie Stephens, Alexandra Stoecker, Rebecca Tansey, Elizabeth Teague, Harry Thompson, Naomi Turnock, Ella Waddington, Tom Waddington and Ross Williams.
