Okehampton Colts 32 Cullompton Colts 7 OKEHAMPTON took control from the start with the forwards controlling the play. A driving maul resulted in the first try from flanker Richard Barrington which was converted by Liam Walker. Okehampton's second try came from a break at the back of a scrum and was scored by number eight Neil Perrott, converted again by Liam Walker. Okehampton's fly half Luke Wonnacott put some excellent kicks in behind Cullompton's defence, which were chased hard by backs Rob Fishleigh, Liam Walker, Tom Chisholm and John Grayling. One of these Wonnacott kicks resulted in full back Matt Dennis scoring Okehampton's third try. Just before half-time Okehampton relaxed, which allowed Cullompton to score, which they did, making the half-time score Okehampton 22 Cullompton 7. In the second half, although Cullompton defended well, they could not stop Okehampton scoring two more tries, one from Tom Cockerham and the other from Liam Walker. On the previous day several Okehampton players went to the Devon U17 trials and all went forward into the squad for the game against Somerset.
