LAUNCESTON`s hopes of a win at the Showfield were crushed during a superb first half performance by the young Okes players running in seven unanswered tries.
While there were some great individual performances it would be hard to single out any player for special praise during such a fantastic squad performance.
Launceston were stunned by the ferocity of the Okehampton players producing countless hard hitting tackles forcing their opposite numbers into mistakes. Their rucking and mauling was controlled and calm setting up clean tidy ball for their backs to run with.
Slick passing with little or no error enabled them to break the Launceston line on numerous occasions showing a real ruthless streak in their finishing and scoring some memorable tries.
This was by far the Okes hardest match of the season but they came through it with real teamwork and determination.
