THE Tavistock-based Tavy and Tamar Gig Club has been issued a tough challenge ? to take on Plymouth-based Mayflower Offshore Rowing Club in the third International Eddystone Challenge, a gruelling 40 kilometre marathon to the Eddystone lighthouse and back on September 4.
The challenge has been issued as the Mayflower Offshore Rowing Club launches the first of its new boats at the Mount Batten Centre this Saturday.
