MILTON Abbot Primary School?s new multi-games area was officially opened on Tuesday. Tavistock area school sports co-ordinator, Trish Locker, performed the opening, which was was attended by parents, children, staff and chairman of governors Peter Rodgers. Headteacher Peter Jones said the area was only finished at 1pm and opened half-an-hour later. It was then put into immediate use by one of the classes. It is marked out for two full-size tennis courts, eight mini courts, two netball and one basketball courts and a five-a-side pitch. A meeting to consider community use of the area will be held on October 18 at 6.30pm at the school.
