Okehampton 12
Sidmouth 36
MEEKU Patidor the Sidmouth and former Exeter outside-half produced a performance that has rarely been seen at Okehampton for many a year.
He rallied his team, orchestrated all the moves and turned round a 12-point deficit for Sidmouth to score 26 unanswered points in this friendly.
The win was fully deserved and such was their dominance Okes did not get into the Sidmouth 22 for the whole of the second half.
The question that can never be answered is did the Okes front five stop playing or Sidmouth produce something out of the ordinary?
How things were different at the start. The forwards produced ball going forward, they defended across the field forcing the visitors to kick. They pushed Sidmouth right over their own line for Cook to touch down.
Bickle playing at full back kicked the conversion and generally had a good game. He exploited some early kicks by attacking with pace and guile, and always looked to set up his fellow players.
The loss of Scrivenor at half time did not help the cause, as he had already stamped his authority on the game.
Good work at the lineout was followed by the donkey work in the scrum, then he chased a delicate kick through by Alford to touch down.
Okes will need more of the kind for the rest of the season especially with Paignton coming to town Saturday looking for revenge.
