A STUNNING Dartmoor garden between South Zeal and Throwleigh is opening to the public on Sunday to raise money for local charity Hospiscare.
The Stoneyhurst Garden, on Throwleigh Road between Throwleigh and South Zeal, will be open from 11am to 6pm.
The event is part of the charity's 'open garden' season to raise funds to support patients and their families across Exeter, mid and East Devon. Last year the season raised an impressive £32,000 for the charity.
Janet Macpherson, who has tended to the two and a half acre garden for 18 years with her husband Colin, said: 'We're especially proud of the wildflower garden. The garden also includes lawns, dry stone walls, young and mature trees and a good range of shrubs and plants. The gardens also boast impressive views of the surrounding moorland.'
Admission is by donation. No refreshments are available, and dogs are only allowed on leads. Visitors should note that wheelchair access is limited. For those finding their way to the gardens via a satellite navigation system, the garden's postcode is EX20 2QD.
