A TREASURE chest for plant lovers will be available in West Devon later this month, when up to 20 specialist nurseries from across the South West gather in Tavistock for a special spring plant fair.

The event, held in Tavistock Pannier Market, will include many rare and unusual plants that gardeners would usually struggle to find.

The fair also provides an opportunity to obtain advice from specialist growers.

The event raises funds for the Plant Heritage — formerly the National Council for the conservation of Plants and Gardens —and will be open between 10am and 3pm.

There will be a £1 charge for entry on the door — hot drinks and light meals will be available from the market all day.
