A YOUNG man from Gunnislake who is to walk more than 240 miles for charity is appealing for people?s help. Tristan Coulshaw, who is 18 years old, is trying to raise £4,000 for the Bruni Gurkha Welfare Trust, which gives money to the soldiers and widows from Nepal, the third poorest country in the world. Tristan said: ?Their pension is 25p a day even for the widows. This is only enough to buy two eggs. It?s awful!? Tristan plans to walk from Plymouth to Land?s End, then to Bude and to follow the Tamar River back down to Plymouth. This will result in him completing 246 miles. ?I plan to set off in March, early April and my target is to be back in Plymouth two weeks and four days later. I will have to walk 20-40 miles per day? said Tristan. Any companies who are willing to sponsor him in this adventure for the charity, or anyone who would like to donate money to help Tristan in his challenge can contact him on 01822 834512.
