A GIANT boot gave charity fundraisers in South East Cornwall a leg up, helping to pull in £480.35 for Children in Need.
Caradon Tenants and Residents' Forum and staff from Caradon District Council's housing team became the Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe and her children, towing a 14-foot boot through Callington, Liskeard, Looe, Torpoint and Saltash to raise vital funds for Children in Need.
In the best pantomime tradition the women were dressed as boys and the men as girls.
John Bailey, chairperson of the forum, said: 'We're delighted to have raised so much for such a worthwhile cause. It was very much a team effort by tenants, their friends, families and Caradon staff, and I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part or donated.'
Staff at the council's Liskeard headquarters raised a further £302.
