CALLINGTON?S Old Clink pub will not open again until the New Year because of renovation work delays. The pub, which will be a music dedicated venue, was due to open last Saturday but a period of heavy rain and an old Cornish roof have not been a good combination. New landlord Chris Francis said water got into the building because there had been hold-ups installing the new roof. ?Unfortunately it has put us back a bit and I am sorry to everyone who was looking forward to the opening,? he said. Mr Francis, who has spent £100,000 renovating Callington?s former courthouse, has promised a musical extravaganza for the New Year opening.
