THE kind-hearted team at Quinns Hairdressing have raised a wonderful £4,290 to be donated to the Breast Cancer Campaign.

The team raised the money with a Pink Ladies evening at the salon, and a charity skydive. The total is the final amount raised following a dedicated year of fundrainsing.

Sarah Sheppard, Sophie Osman, Jess Brock, Hayley Gent and Maxine Thornley all took part in the skydive at Perranporth, travelling six times so that all five members could complete the jump. Sarah, Hayley, Maxine and Jess finally completed their skydives on Sunday April 28, but the weather then changed and Sophie Osman was not able to do hers.

The entire team went back to Perranporth on Sunday, May 5, Sophie's 19th birthday, to watch her complete the skydive at long last. Upon landing, Sophie received a skydiving theme birthday cake and sparkling wine.

Dawn Pitts, owner of the salon, said the Quinns team was thrilled to have raised so much money over their year of fundraising.
