MORWELLHAM Quay has appealed for help in improving and expanding the archive facilities at the quay.

Commercial manager Bryan Rising said the Quay wanted to make more of its archive and hoped to open it up to people who wanted to come and research the Victorian port and mine.

Mr Rising asked if any readers have lockable metal cupboards which would be suitable for storing old books and photographs, which they could donate.

Valuable historical artifacts at the Quay are currently stored on an old shelf exposed to sunlight.

Morwellham Quay is also hoping someone may be able to supply a computer they no longer use which could be used for logging all the archive material.
