HE children at Bambinos Day Nursery in Tavistock had some unexpected visitors recently in the form of newly hatched Snow White quails.

The children have been able to watch the eggs hatch and have been caring for them since.

Two of the quails are Snow White and have added to the Christmas theme for the children.

Such an event has been beneficial for the children as they have learned about the life cycle of the quail eggs and widened their understanding of caring for animals.

The eggs were sourced locally from Nathan Potts and his animal encounters.

The nursery hopes to offer the experience again for the children at Easter.
