FARMERS and workers in the Lewdown area are being warned by police to take care of their quad bikes, after a set of keys was snatched from a quad bike around 10.30pm on Wednesday, March 26.

The owner believed the thief took the keys, with the intention of coming back later to steal the quadbike. The ignition barrel has now been changed, rendering the stolen keys uselesss.

Police enquiries have revealed that a white Subaru, possibly a Forrester, was seen in the Lewdown area at the time of the incident.

Police have asked that if people see such a vehicle to pay attention to it and whoever is using it.
