NICE weather for ducks, they say, but the inclement conditions recently have been so bad that North Tawton had to cancel its duck race and fun day for safety reasons.
The event is now back on this weekend, at North Tawton Rugby Club.
It is in aid of North Tawton Scout Group and features a variety of races for everyone, plus a barbecue, cream teas, side stalls and a car boot sale.
The stocks are sure to prove popular for those who want to step up and administer a soaking.
The fun begins at 2pm this Saturday, September 18.
Organisers have apologised for any confusion caused by the previous cancellation.
