ONCE again fun, friendship and football for adults with special needs at the Ability Counts Leagues run by the Devon FA .
The Tavi Specials adult squad went to Newton Abbot to play their league matches and had a great time as usual!
Andy Trigger, aged 42, brought that wonderful smile and fun factor to the first of their seven matches.
Although Number 15 he played centre forward and struck a superb shot from the kick off into the back of the net but it was his own sides goal! Roars of laughter came from everyone watching especially a grateful Torquay Inspirations manager
Andy then squared by scoring a penalty five minutes later in the correct goal.
The games came thick and fast and some lovely football by Tom Wakenshaw saw him score six goals in the following matches.
A thunderbolt by Kieron Lee's was the goal of the day and Bobby Upham grabbed a couple of screamers too.
Against Newton Abbot, the Tavistock keeper Ben Burnard made some cracking saves and was applauded by Newton Soccability's coach, Kev Sharp.
The team enjoyed their day having won five , drawn one and lost one to keep the team top of the league.
