THE OKEHAMPTON electorate will get the opportunity to question town councillors at the Annual Town Assembly for Okehampton next week. The public meeting is an opportunity for the electors of the parish of Okehampton to raise questions about any matters relating to the town. The evening will feature a guest speaker who will be talking about the Market and Coastal Towns Initiative (MCTi). Steve Blood from Devon Heartlands will be talking about the current status of MCTi, the future and how Okehampton and the surrounding area will benefit from the project. The meeting takes place next Monday, April 4, in the Charter Hall, starting at 7pm. Questions can be submitted in writing to the town clerk at the town hall prior to the event. Alternatively, there will be an opportunity to ask questions from the floor on the evening.
