A RED setter puppy was killed after it was in collision with a car on the main A386 across Roborough Down on Monday night. Grenofen resident Jon Woodhouse was on his way home from Plymouth when he saw the car in front of him hit the puppy, near the junction to Bere Alston. The driver carried on but Mr Woodhouse stopped and picked up the young dog, which he estimated was about three to four months old. Nobody appeared to be with the dog at the time of the accident, about 9.45pm. Mr Woodhouse said he took the puppy to Town Farm Vets in Horrabridge, but unfortunately it died shortly afterwards. Anyone who has lost a red setter puppy or who requires further information should call Town Farm Vets or Tavistock Police Station, quoting log 1720.
