PUPILS from Highampton Primary School have raised a total of £336.40 in aid of the children?s charity, Get Kids Going. The children took part in a sponsored run where they ran laps of the schools playing field until they could not do anymore. The oldest pupils managed 15 minutes and the youngest ran for six. A former parent of the school, who runs for charity every two years, appealed to the children if they would help her with the fundraising for this charity, and they welcomed the idea. Get Kids Going is a National charity which gives disabled children and young people, up to the age of 26-years-old, the opportunity of participating in sport. The charity helps promote sports for disabled children by providing them with specially built sports wheelchairs so they can take part in sports activities.
