SJS Dance Academy are celebrating their recent outstanding Royal Academy of Dance ballet results.

Over two days, 53 pupils, whose ages ranged from 7 to 19, took ballet exams — all passed with either merit or distinction.

Suzanne Sanders, the principal of the academy said: 'All the hard work and extra lessons paid off. I am very proud of all my pupils' achievements, especially the students who took grade seven and all passed with distinction.

'This has been a fantastic year for us, with two students, Bexy Dew and Katharine Brown, also taking vocational ballet exams at intermediate level and passing first time both with merit.'

SJS Dance Academy holds classes in Tavistock and Stoke Climsland and offers RAD Ballet from three years-old, as well as jazz and tap classes.
