Six children from Kelly Prep School recently attended the Primary Schools' Chess Tournament Devon Megafinal at Brixham.

There were some outstanding results: Lois Thornton, who won the Suprema title for best overall girl in the under 11s category, James Lloyd, the Supremo title for best overall boy under 10s , Christopher Wrey, Supremo title for best overall boy under 9s category and Jack Bellamy, runner-up boys' under 11 competition.  

They automatically qualify for the next round of the competition, which takes place in Reading.
