TEACHERS at a Tavistock infant school could be forgiven for thinking they?re seeing double as the school welcomes its seventh set of twins.
Harry and Francesca Herdman are joining St Rumon?s CE Infant School after Easter as part-time pupils before becoming full-timers in September.
Headteacher Mags Long said: ?We usually have one set of twins going through the school but to have seven is quite unusual.
?We have three sets of identical twins in the school but they aren?t old enough to realise what tricks they can play yet!
?We might have some interesting situations when they all reach Year Two ? I?m hoping the teachers will be one step ahead of them!
?We did have one set who used to answer each others names and wear each other?s glasses ? they once tried to swop maths classes as well but the teachers spotted them!
?It?s nice for the twins as they get to interact with each other ? they actually enjoy being in the ?twin club?.
?The seven sets will all be in school together for at least a year so we wanted to make it special for them.?
As to difficulties telling the twins apart, Mrs Long explained that their parents tried to help.
She said: ?They are often given different haircuts, clothes or shoes - the most troublesome lesson is PE where they wear exactly the same.
?The mother of one set of our twin girls always dresses one in pink hair bobbles and the other in purple ? we just have to remember who wears what colour!?
The Herdmans join Matthew and Olivia Hill, Jessica and Selina Delaney and Helen and Emma Hunt who are already in the school?s foundation year.
Year One twins are Arabella and India Galbraith, Katya and Laurie Church and Adam and Lee Thyer.
