CHILDREN from Mary Tavy and Brentor Primary School and Bere Alston Primary participated in a special project in which they worked with their parents.
As part of the Devon Family Learning programme, organised by Penny Westlake, reception children from both schools spent 30 hours in total working alongside their parents as part of the Early Start programme.
The programme covers topics such as literacy, numersacy, healthy eating, making reading fun and phonics. It also funds the groups to participate in an educational visit.
Children in Years 5 and 6 at Mary Tavy and Brentor Primary School spent 10 hours working alongside their parents as part of the Family Learning animation programme.
Hours of fun were spent putting together a series of animations that the children have been sharing with the rest of the school.
