TWENTY-two requests have been made for dog bins in the Calstock parish after an appeal went out from the parish council.

There are six new dogs bins that have been purchased by Calstock Parish Council and discussions will now take place as to where they will be situated throughout the communities.

The bins have cost £1,500 and will cost £600 a year to maintain. The rest of the parish's dog bins are owned by Cornwall Council but the authority has refused to provide any more because of budget restraints.

The public were asked to come forward with suggestions of particular problem areas.
