RESIDENTS from in and around Okehampton took part in a ten-pub walk to raise money for charity.
More than 200 people participated in the 16-mile walk, which started from Sandy Park in Chagford and ended at the Plymouth Inn in Okehampton.
Walkers also wore T-shirts in memory of Okehampton resident, Dave Jamieson — known to friends as DJ — who died last August.
Around £5,500 was raised and all proceeds will go towards Devon Air Ambulance.
Organiser and friend of Mr Jamieson, Brian Elson, said: 'The amount of people that turned up was unbelievable. We had a gang of youngsters from Crediton who were so enthusiastic and said they'd come back next year.
'It's great because we do it for a reason, but it's fun as well.'
Mr Ellis expressed thanks to Carmel Coaches who transported people free of charge.
He added: 'We always usually have two coaches, but this year there were so many people, we had to order another one.'
Walker and friend of Dave Jameison, Mike Bailey, said: 'I would personally like to thank the girls in the craft department at the Manor House Hotel, who helped supply the T-shirts.
'All the proceeds raised from the T-shirts will also go towards the Devon Air Ambulance, in memory of DJ.'
