A MUSICAL duo from Okehampton are firmly on the road to success after they recently signed their first professional contract.

Tim 'TurkYsh' Greensill and Johne 'Johne C' Coakley are two DJs who joined forces last year to produce tracks together under the name, 'Prognosis'. They perform sets that straddle a number of genres, from trance to tech-house.

On Wednesday May 9, the pair signed a 12-month deal with DN4 DJs. Their music was discovered online by an agent, and they were subsequently invited to an interview in London.

As part of their deal they will play weekly sets in London and around Europe.

The pair are due to play in Austria and Germany in the summer, followed by a Ministry of Sound event in August. They will also play the Echo Boat Party on the River Thames on Saturday June 9.

Beth Taylor from Desire4Dance, the online radio show run by Tim Greensill, said: 'This is an amazing opportunity for Prognosis and they are grateful to many family and friends in Okehampton who have supported them during the past few hard months of work.

'Life now for them means lots of travelling but Okehampton will be their main home base as they both enjoy the less hectic way of life the area has to offer, rather than the busy city life.'

The duo have completed their first album, and now boast a catalogue of 32 tracks, some of which are available on iTunes, Spotify and other online outlets.
