THE annual meeting of Okehampton and District Men's Probus was held last Monday week.

Ernie Parrett, the retiring chairman, was thanked for his excellent year in the chair.

Malcolm Francis-Lang was elected as the new chairman, with John Darch as deputy.

Secretary Gerald Scantlebury stood down, having served 19 years in the post, and a presentation was made to him in recognition of his long service.

The new secretary is Brian Warner.
