PRISONERS from Dartmoor Prison went ?on the run? last week in aid of Children In Need. Three prisoners ran 13 miles each on Sunday, November 11 in the prison?s resettlement unit, and were supported by all the staff, governors and prisoners. The idea of the 39-mile run was thought up by prisoner Mark as he wanted to do something for Children In Need, a charity which helps make a positive difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. When all the money is collected and counted it is hoped around £500 will have been raised for the charity.
