TAVISTOCK Cricket Club's season came to an end with the annual President's match. Munday won the toss and decides to bat on a pretty wet wicket.

Werrington's Mark Harwell continued his suberb record at Tavistock with a score of 95 and put on a fourth wicket stand of 204 with South African Rob Mutch scoring 107 not out.

The president's side finished with 240-3 off 35 overs.

Tavistock with a mountain to climb lost several quick wickets and no-one staying with Aaron Churchill, who made a splendid 75.  Tavistock finished with 105.

Best bowlers for the President's side were Jack Hughes and James Nicholls who both finished with 2-17.  Jake Luffman, who surprised everyone, took 2-3.

Tavistock CC held their annual awards following the President's Day match, which gave a great opportunity for club players from the 1960s to meet up again.

Club president Stuart Munday thanked all the members who have contributed to a great season with the first XI missing promotion by just six points and the second XI gaining promotion to the Premier 2nd XI of the Devon Crickt League. He also thanked all the advertisers and especially Tony Kaminski for his continued sponsorship.
