THE president of Tavistock Rotary Club recently handed over his chain of office to a fellow Rotarian. Wally Lake is taking over from Tony Whitehead as president of the club for the coming year. Mr Lake congratulated Mr Whitehead on the capable way he presided over what has been an eventful year for the club and said during the next year, the club would continue to support local causes and organise its popular dinner for senior citizens. He said: 'We will be raising funds with our book stall at Goose Fair and the club's Santamobile will be undergoing a refit in time for Christmas.'
