TAVISTOCK Air Cadets made their annual presentations at at Crelake Barracks recently.
There was an opportunity to view all the cadet activities and achievements over the last 12 months.The squadron's new air rifles, computers and technical kits were all on show.
The chairman of the squadron's welfare committee and father of an ex-cadet, Captain Martin Pendle, inspected the cadets on parade and presented the awards.
Martin paid tribute in his address to the commitment of the staff, cadets and the range of activities available to young people at 2312 Squadron and thanked staff, canteen helpers and parents for their support.
The squadron will be running though the school summer holidays.
New cadets aged 13 or over are welcome to come along to Crelake Barracks on a Tuesday evening at 7pm.
Cadet of the year: Cdt Flt Sgt Sarah Lucas; best NCO, Cdt Sgt Ryan Sloane; best junior cadet, Cdt Dan Reid; Saunders Cup for attendance, Cdt Ryan Frise; Mitchell Trophy for sport, Cdt Tom Ludwig; Laing Trophy for shooting, Cdt Chris Halliday; Crook Trophy for drill, Cdt Eliza Thomas;venture adventure trophy, Cdt Cpl Jamie Grose; Quintrell trophy for modeling, Cdt Cpl Sam Pickard.
