A PRECEPT of £518,200 has been set by Tavistock Town Council for the coming year.

This figure is unchanged from the current year, but represents a 1.73% increase on a Band D property as a result of government changes due to be implemented regarding council tax.

The precepts set by Devon County Council and West Devon Borough Council, which makes up the bulk of the figure paid by council tax payers, is due to be finalised shortly.
