A WOMAN from Sticklepath has praised the team at Okehampton Community Hospital for the level of care received by her mother during a recent stay.

Kay Pyne has praised the multi-disciplinary team at the hospital for their care and all-round help given to her mother and family during her illness and rehabilitation through November and December.

Kay said: 'Six weeks ago my mother, who has been living with us for the past thirteen years, became ill, requiring hospital assessment. She went first to Wonford before being moved to Okehampton Hospital to complete her recovery and rehabilitation.

'She has now been discharged to residential care locally.

'Throughout her hospital stay, she received excellent care, consistently delivered by sympathetic and professional staff.

'Their kindness and sense of humour have helped to keep her spirits up during what has been a difficult time for us all.

'Thank you, Okehampton District Hospital, how lucky we are to have you.'
